The throwback joint for tonight is completely different from my last post, which featured Diabolic and Vinnie Paz spitting hardcore lyrics. One of the reasons I am starting this blog is to introduce all different kinds of hip hop music to my readers. Some people are into what is called "gangsta" rap, while others prefer the more laid back kind of hip hop, such as De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest. I am a firm believer that all Hip Hop, (minus most of the stuff that is played on the radio), has value and should not be discredited by close-minded people who may have a certain taste. Therefore, by making this blog I feel it's my duty to give exposure to everything that is creative, genuine, and meaningful. Enough rambling, this track here is off a remix collection released by The Pharcyde. The production here comes from the great J Dilla, so you know it's dope. This song is so soothing, the lyrics are words that everyone can relate to, and even the video is well-made. All the smokers out there should light up, lay back, and vibe out to this one. Peace.
